Step 1: Prepare Your Materials

A Complete Tsinghua-Amgen Scholar Application Consists Of The Following Materials:

Personal Curriculum Vitae (CV)
Personal Information Form (please click here to download the template)
Open Questions (please click here to download the template)
Statement of Purpose (please click here to download the template)
Official Current Transcript(s) (signed and stamped)

Transcripts issued by your institution(s) must provide a year-by-year listing of all courses taken and the grade or mark received for each.
Two Reference Letters

Letter requirements:

1) Reference Letters Should Conclude With The Following Identifying Personal Information Of Referrers: Full Name, Title, Institution, Mailing Address, Telephone Number And Email Address.

2)Reference Letters Should Indicate The Candidate's Full Name.

3)Reference Letters Should Be On Professional Letterhead.

4)Reference Letters Require Signatures From Referrers.

Letter Submission:

1) Reference Letters Should Be Submitted By Referrers To The Following Email Address: aspreference@tsinghua.edu.cn, Using The Referrers' Institutional Email Address.

2) Please Remind Your Referrers To Send The Email Before The Deadline. We Will Inform Your Referrers Regarding The Submission Status Of Your Reference Letters.
English Qualifications

If You Are Not A Native English Speaker Or Currently Attending A University Where The Language Of Instruction Is English, You Must Provide:

1)A Scanned Test Report Form;

2)TTOEFL iBT Score Above 72; Or

3)IELTS Overall Band Score Above 5.5; Or

4)TOEIC Score Of 1095; Or

5)TOEIC L&R Score Of 785; Or

6)TOEIC S&W Score Of 310;
Supplemental Materials (Optional)

Normally, Admission Decisions Will Be Made Based On Standard Application Materials. However, Supplemental Materials Can Also Be Provided For Evaluation, Which Is Entirely Optional. If You Wish To Submit Supplemental Materials, Please Also Provide A Short Description, Explaining What Makes You A Stronger Applicant Than Other Candidates.
The Application Should Be Completed No Later Than 23:59, Mar. 1, 2026 (Beijing Local Time, UTC+8).

Step 2: Submit Materials

Please Prepare All Documents (Except For The Reference Letters) As Requested And Send Them Electronically To amgenscholars@tsinghua.edu.cn. All Documents (Except For The Reference Letters) Should Be Attached To A Single Email Only. You Should Name The Email As “Your Name + Location Of Your Current University”. Do Not Resend Or Send Additional Information, Or Corrections. Any Additional Emails Will Not Be Transmitted To The Admission Office. Make Sure You Are Completely Accurate In Your Application Materials At The First Time. The Reference Letters Should Be Submitted By The Referrers To The Following Email Address: aspreference@tsinghua.edu.cn, Using The Referrers’ Institutional Email Address. You Should Remind Your Referrer To Name The Email As “Referrer’s Name + Student’s Name”. Further Instructions On The Reference Letters Can Be Found In Step 1.

What Happens Next?

A Reply Email Will Be Sent To You To Make Sure We Have Received Your Email Successfully. Application Materials Will Be Reviewed As Soon As Possible Once We Receive Them, And Final Admission Decisions Will Be Sent To Your Email Address In April 2026. The General Admission Selection Will Be Finished In March And Our Admission Team Will Review Your Application And Contact You Soon. Application Results Will Be Sent To All Applicants (Including Accepted, Rejected And Waiting List) In April. If You Don’t Receive The Notification By Mid-April, Please Contact Our Admission Office (Email: amgenscholars@tsinghua.edu.cn).
