  • 1.Are The Decisions Made Continuously Until The Deadline (I.E. Roling Admissions) Or After The Deadline All Together?
    Our Admission Decisions Will Not Be Made On A Roling Basis, And The Selection Will Begin After March, 2026.
  • 2.Can L Apply If L Am A Freshman Applicant?
    No, You Are Ineliaible To Apply Because You Must Have Completed 3 Semesters Or 4 Quarters Of College Before Applyingto The Amgen Scholars Program.
  • 3.L Am Graduating In The Summer Of 2026, Am L Eligible To Apply?
    No. You Must Be Returning To Your Undergraduate College Or University In Fall Of 2026 To Continue Your Studies.
  • 4.Can L Participate As An Amgen Scholar For More Than One Summer?
    No. You Can Only Participate Once In Any Amgen Scholars Program. This Ensures That Each Summer A New Cohort Ofamgen Scholars Will Have The Opportunity To Beneft From This Hands-On Research Experience.
  • 5.If L Am Not Selected This Year, Can L Apply Again?
    Yes. As Long As You Still Meet The Eligibility Criteria, You Can Certainly Apply Again.
  • 6.When Will L Find Out If L Am Admitted Into The Tsinghua Amgen Scholars Program?
    Application Results Of The Program Will Be Notifed From March To April.
  • 7.Will There Be An Opportunity To Meet Amgen Scholars Participating In The Asia Program At Other Universities, Andto Learn More About Biotechnology And Drug Discovery And Development?
    Yes. In August, Each Amgen Scholar In Asia Will Attend A Symposium To Learn About Frst-Hand Research Findings Fromscientists Working In Industry And Academia. And Will Provide Students With A Great Opportunity To Network With Othelamgen Scholars From Across The Globe.
  • 8.Is The Cost Of Travel To And From This Symposium, As Well As Room And Board, Covered By The Program?
    Yes.Transportation And Accommodation Will Be Covered By The Program.

  • 9.I'M Not A Native English Speaker, But Currently Attending A University Where The Language Of Instruction Is Englishdo L Need To Submit Scores To Prove My English Proficiency?
    No, Non-Native Enalish Speakers Who Have Been Receivina Underaraduate Education From An Institution Where The Lan-Guage Of Instruction Is English Do Not Need To Submit Test Scores. All Reauirements Are Based On Your Underaraduateeducation Regardless Of Any Prior Education (E.G. High School).

    Do Lneed To Upload Both The Foreign Language And English Translations Of My Transcripts?Yes. Transcripts That Are In A Language Other Than English Should Be Translated Into English. The Translation Must Beprovided By The University.
  • 11.Ls An Unofficial Transcript Acceptable, Or Should L Submit An Ofhcial Transcript (That Is, Printed And Signed By Theuniversity Registrar)?
    No. Transcripts Must Be The Ofhcial Version From The University And Provided In English If The Original Language Is Notenglish. Your Current Transcript Must Include Your 2025 fall Grades, And Please Email The Program (Amgenscholars@Ts-Inghua.Edu) If Your Fall Grades Are Not Available By March 1st.
  • 12.My School Calculates The Gpa Using 5.0 Scale. How Do L Convert My Gpa To A 4.0 Scale?
    To Convert A 5.0 Gpa To A 4.0 Gpa, Divide Your Cumulative 5.0 Gpa By 1.25, Or Divide Your Cumulative Gpa By 5 Thenmultiply By 4.Both Ways Will Yield The Same 4.0 Gpa Conversions.
  • 13.Do You Require That Reference Letter(S) Be Written On A Specific Form?
    No. There Is No Set Format. The Only Requirements Are That The Letter Be Issued By A Faculty Member Of Your Current In-Stitution And Be Composed On The School'S Letterhead.
  • 14.Whom Should L Ask To Provide A Reference Letter?
    Letters From People Who Have Experience Working With You In A Research Setting, Faculty Mentors, Principal Investiga-Tors, Professors, And Teachers Are Preferred. Two Letters From The Same Lab Is Consider As One Letter (I.E. A Letter Fromfaculty Member And One From Your Lab Mentor-Postdoc Or Graduate Student You Worked With In The Lab)
  • 15.Ls Research Experience Required To Apply?
    No.Research Experience Is Not Required; However, It Is Strongly Recommended
  • 16.Should L List My Research Experience From High School On My Application?
    No. You Should Only List Research Experience You Have Obtained As An Undergraduate. However, You Can Mention Yourhigh School Research In Your Application Materials

2026 application will start on November 1, 2025 and end on March 15, 2026, deadline to apply being March 15, 2026.

The program will begin on June 4 and end on August 6 (provisional). Accepted applicants to the program will be notified from March to April.
